$4,348 online plus $725 in checks = $5073, peoples! Only $2927 and 3 days to go! We can do this! :)
Please-please-please keep helping out & spreading the word, and please remember that every bit of help — from $5 contributions to $500 contributions, from short little signal boosts to long rambly blog posts — helps me tremendously. I’ve got 3 more days to raise these funds on Indie-Go-Go, and with your help, I can reach the full amount. How awesome, right?
$4,060 online & $725 in checks = $4,785 raised in total! Only $3,215 to go, folks! *Please* keep helping out & spreading the word, and please remember that every bit of help — from $5 contributions to $500 contributions, from short little signal boosts to long rambly blog posts — helps tremendously. I’ve got 11 more days to raise these funds on Indie-Go-Go, and with your help, I can reach the full amount. How awesome, right? :)
Hey folks. I’ve got NINETEEN days left to raise funds on Indie-Go-Go to get all my medical & dental debt paid off.
The love & support I’ve gotten over the past 6 weeks has been nothing short of amazing. And now, I’m in the very final push.
Thus far, I’ve received $4000 on Indie-Go-Go and $620 in personal checks from folks. That means I’ve got $4,620 of the debt covered! That’s over half-way there, and that is AWESOME!
However, I’m not done yet. Drumming up support in these next couple weeks is gonna be crucial to me meeting my goal. So, if I may, I’d like to ask a few favors of you:
1) To those of you who have contributed and/or signal-boosted — THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. If you could, *please* consider signal-boosting again. Word of mouth REALLY seems to be driving the success of this campaign.
2) If you haven’t spread the word about this yet, now’s your opportunity! :)
3) Remember that no contribution is too small, and that contributions of time & energy are seriously just as meaningful as financial contributions.
Lots of love & so so SO many thanks,
Gina
Folks, I’ve got another $4,455 to raise, and another 39 days to do so on Indie-Go-Go. The outpouring of love & support (both emotional & financial) has meant the world to me. Please keep it up & keep the signal boosts & donations coming!
And thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all you have already done.
Folks, I am so thankful for all the love & money that has come my way since I’ve launched this fundraising campaign, but I still gotta long way (as in, roughly another $5,200) to go. If you can, please oh please oh PLEASE keep the signal boosts on this coming. The big money donations are, of course, awesome, but the $5 + $10 + $20 + $25 donations also really add up. And bless you, all of you, for being the kind of people who care & help.
(Oh, also, City of Seattle? Thank you thank you THAAAAANK YOOOU for helping me break through my writer’s block. 1,000 new words today. Can I get a BOO-YAH?!)
A bit more than 24 hours after I launched this personal fundraising campaign, and 33 beautiful, beautiful people have contributed over $1,400 online (and about a dozen have written to me and asked where they can send checks, too). I’m, like, stupefied. And I’m also wondering — if *this* is what happened today, in just one day, what will tomorrow and the next day and the next day bring?
Please, please keep spreading the word, folks. All the $5 and $10 and $20 donations add up and make a HUGE difference towards me reaching my goal and getting this medical & dental debt paid the hell off.
And, again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU from the bottom of my grateful humbled happy heart.
After much urging from friends & mentors, I’m starting an Indie-Go-Go campaign to get myself out of $8,000 (yikes) of combined medical & dental debt. Please consider donating — no amount is too small, and every bit helps. If you’re not able to make a monetary donation, please consider spreading the word about this campaign. Re-post, share, blog, tweet about it, etc. Every single bit of help is deeply appreciated.
EDITED ON JULY 20TH 2012 AT 4:40PM TO ADD: Oh my stars & garters, people! It’s been not even 24 hours since I launched this campaign, and I’m already at over $1,100 (over an eighth of the way there!). This is fucking incredible. I’m so touched by your generosity of spirit. Please keep spreading the word. Remember that no contribution is too small, and that signal boosts are just as vital & helpful as financial contributions.

So I’m going in for Part #3 (of 4) of the Root Canal today. It’s a temporary crown, so it will hopefully be MUCH less painful than the last two dental procedures I’ve had done. Still, if you could think of me, I’d appreciate it.
Some really wonderful friends will be helping me organize a benefit to help offset the costs of Toothpocalypse (aka, the emergency root canal I had this week). Stay tuned for more info.
And grazie mille, family of friends, for being so, so good to me.
I am home, woozy/out of it, and in pain. However: While this hurts, it hurts NOWHERE NEAR AS MUCH as the last procedure did. And now it is over. All in all, the glass is half-full.
