Every Golden Girls episode ever. YES!

I am spending my first skool-free morning (well, afternoon) cleaning my kitchen & watching The Golden Girls on youtube. Don’t judge. There is about to be polenta for breakfast. Also, coffee.

Anyway, this clip is Sophia Petrillo on gay mawwiage & matwimony. I am not so much a mawwiage type of girl myself, but I think people should be able to do whatever the hell they want in their own relationships, and this clip both made me laugh and warmed my heart. The Golden Girls really was ahead of its time in a lot of ways.

1) Bay Areans: Come celebrate a wonderful year of Sex Workers’ Writing Workshop with me tomorrow night from 6-8pm at Center for Sex & Culture. I’ll bring the prompt & some cookies, you bring your notebook/laptop & desire to write-write-write for an hour.

Sliding scale $10-$20 *more if you can, less if you can’t, nobody turned away*
Workshop facilitated by Gina de Vries

This is a writing workshop for current and former sex workers to share their writing and get honest, non-judgmental feedback. Workshop participants are not obligated to write exclusively about sex work, but writing about work in the sex industry (as well as writing about other topics) will be welcomed. This is a place where people can write and share about their sex work experiences without having to censor themselves or explain every detail. Beginning writers are encouraged to attend along with more seasoned wordsmiths.

(On a personal note: Ohmygod did I mention my semester just ended? Yeah. My semester just ended. I am wavering between exhausted & thrilled. I had the most awesome soak in a hot tub with a friend & a sweetie today. I also watched The Golden Girls in my pajamas and read comic books. It was all pretty much the best thing ever.)
