So, uh. I’m going back to The Wave Organ today at high tide so I can actually hear the music.
When you find something that works, keep doing it, I guess? :)
I’m going on Staycation for at least a week starting tomorrow (‘cause getting horribly sick right after school ended + having a backlog of non-skool work to finish =/= an actual break).
I am wondering if folks have suggestions of interesting & cheap things to do in San Francisco over the next week-ish while I’m giving myself time to play. I’m trying to approach this a bit like I’m travelling/exploring in a new place. Maybe this is silly since I’ve lived in SF most of my life, but I like approaching where I live with fresh eyes every few years. It’s good for me. :)
I love beaches and parks and museums and book stores and record shops and good libraries and cheap eats and most things having to with queer &/or pervert &/or sex worker history. And I have a real soft spot for exploring SF’s “outlying” (not trendy) neighborhoods, as I grew up in one.
Also, I’ve been really into longish-distance walks & city hikes lately, so good neighborhoods to stomp around in & explore would be particularly awesome to hear about.
Tonight I am taking a long hot shower, making myself a fancy drink/dessert thing that involves raspberry liqueur* & vanilla ice cream, and reading the second half of Alison Bechdel’s new memoir.
OMG, you guys, NOT WORKING ON A THESIS IS MOTHERFUCKING BOSS.
