Surprize Deliciousness & Notes from Stressytown
Tempeh + sweet potato + scallions + kale + spinach fusilli = AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. I make variations on this stirfry a bunch, and it’s never been bad. But this batch is like there’s a party in my mouth where everyone’s invited. How is this so delicious?! I cooked the tempeh, sweet potatoes, and scallions on a high heat, for a long time — I was actually worried I might burn...

PSA: "my whelm runneth over" (thx, Rose)
Yeah. Pretty much. Even with the Point Foundation app in (WOO!) there is still a lot to do. If I’m slow at getting back to you, that’s why. Also, I’m not really on Facebook and I’m only on Twitter sporadically. Please email/call/text if you need me, and be patient if it takes me a sec.

Friendlies: Please think good thoughts for me with regards to the Point Foundation fellowship application. It’s due tomorrow and I’m feeling a little slammed/overwhelmed/nervous/etc. Okay. I’mma let go that anxiety & put my nose back to the grindstone, now.

how life is
1. Grazie mille for the awesome birthday wishes & kisses, folks. 2a. This semester is a mile-long To Do List, between work and freelance and modelling, and this is only Week 3. I’m pretty frazzled. I’m trying to soften the academic stress blows by integrating things like bike rides and cooking and dates and friendlytime into my life in a regularly scheduled way — you know,...

In 1999, Bunnicula Strikes Again!, was published.... →
New Bunnicula books have been published in the last decade? Wow. I loved this series so much as a kid. It was about a vegetarian rabbit vampire who sucks the juice out of vegetables. It was narrated by a sheep dog named Harold, who had a paranoid conspiracy-theorist cat sidekick named Chester. I really want to read the new ones. Checking the library, now.

to clear up any confusion -- i'm NOT at #CC10!
Activist friends, just FYI — I am NOT at #CreatingChange2010 right now. I wish I was there. But prohibitive cost + lotsa schoolwork = just not feasible this year. :( I was going to do an Intersex 101 workshop, and also lead the Sex Workers’ Caucus. I’m kinda bummed I’m not there. I’d be especially interested to hear if folks decide to throw a Sex Workers’...
